Artists' Reviews
About a year ago I decided, after much procrastination, to take steps to open my own e-gallery art store and sell prints. That entailed having much of my work re-photographed to support digital printmaking. I had to really search to find a photographer to shoot all my work in a format that will support that kind of printmaking. I am near the end of that part of my endeavor and in the coming months designing and setting up that online gallery. Do you believe in serendipity or that the universe aligns with your focus and intentions? Well I do…Jerry and Steve Wall who are the creators of The Art Gallery e-Magazine contacted me and offered to showcase my art. At first, I was a bit skeptical but after viewing it online realized this was the real deal.
Because of my preparation I was ready when opportunity knocked on my door. They are wonderful to work with, very responsive and helpful. I am an older artist, 74, and Jerry was patient with me as my digital computer skills are let’s say lacking a bit. They featured me in their magazine for July and created a YouTube video of my art work. All of the presentation of my art work is first class. Jerry’s creativity on the YouTube video is stunning and was like he was in my creative zone.
All I can say is if you get a chance to have your art featured go for it! FAQ'S
Select the Art Submission Form button and you will be sent to an online form. Fill out the form so we can get more information about you and how to view your work. We jury the selection so we can get top artists in. Once we are able to look at your work, we will notify you within 24 hours if you have been selected. If you are selected, you will be notified by email and sent a link to our site that shows you what are upload requirements are and how to pay the small artist fee (This is nonrefundable- and must be paid before layout begins.).
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY WORK AND GET SELECTED?
Once selected, how do I upload my photos and files?
We have made it easy for you to send us your files. An upload folder on the cloud will be made for you with your name on it. That link to your folder along with photo and file requirements will be sent you via email. Simply click on the Folder link and follow three easy steps to upload your file. Then email us to let us know they are upload. Thats it!
Will I receive a proof of my pages?
Yes! Within a few days you will receive a pdf proof by email. Please check for any errors and make sure all your links work. Then email us back to let us know if there are any corrections or if it's good to go! Many people ask if they can use their proof to display on their website or social media. The answer is yes, as long as they use the link to the magazine subscription which will accompany the proof. This is why we do not watermark our proofs, so you can use them in any way you want.; Frame it on a wall, share it with friend or post it wherever you like.
When will I see the complete magazine?
Each issue is released on the first of the month. Because we have hundreds of subscribers, we use an email service that emails each subscriber a link to where they can view the magazine online or download the pdf. We also have recently converted our publication into a flipbook form where you can turn the pages, zoom in and navigate easier through the publication. And all the email and social media links work in it as well. Both the flipbook and PDF are interactive.
Are there any other benefits to submitting my works?
There certainly are! In addition to displaying your work and promoting yourself as an artist to readers around the world you get a free monthly subscription, and access to all our back issues! You can not only get inspired by what other artists have done but you can enjoy all the great art related articles in each issue of The Art Gallery e-zine! You will also be contacted for any free giveaways and specials. We are also now allowing encore submissions from previous artists. Some artists have more paintings and would like to display them in another issue. Others have works in a different media and would like to display those works in another issue. We can do that if we have the space.
How do I know this is not a scam?
Unfortunately, you can not convince every that you are offering them a great deal rather than a risk deal but let me point out a few facts:
We never ask for your money nor will we. Outside of a reasonable placement fee we never ask you for any money. We are simply trying to help artists promote themselves and their work.
We do not upsell. There is no bait and switch. We offer a free art magazine monthly and the opportunity to be in it and that's it.
We make zero money from your artwork. We promote your work but do not sell it. We work in low resolution images so cannot even make prints of your work. We make money through ads and donations and do not profit at all from your work except in promoting you, you promote us.
Your work is yours and secure. Your work is copyrighted and your images you sent in are copyrighted. You are simply giving us permission to use them. This is why we have you send them in and do not copy them from your sites (unless authorized). Also, the magazine itself is copyrighted so people are not allowed to copy images from it. We also embed all images into the magazine so that it is nearly impossible for them to right click and download any image! Even if they snapshot the image, it is low resolution so they cannot be used for NFT's or printed!
We have a legitimate proven product. We have already published dozens of artists. Back issues are available to look at those artists and their work. Most of their emails are listed so you can write any of them ant ask them if they have been ripped off. On the contrary, we have glowing reviews and much thanksgiving and appreciation from those who have been in the magazine. We are proud to represent them!
